William Goldman: I did, I started, that's one of them wanted to have a book about princesses and one of them wanted a book on brides so I said that would be the title. And then about 15 pages into the book I got blocked and then out of getting unblocked the book shifted on me and it became this weird and for me unique experience where I was really writing very close to my subconscious, not knowing what I was doing, enjoying writing, looking forward to the day next day, it was all strange, that doesn't happen to me, it never happened to me before, it hasn't happened to me soon. Interviewer: Do you think this is the best thing you've written? William Goldman: Oh yeah, by far. Interviewer: Have your daughters seen the film? William Goldman: Oh yeah, first of all, I had to say yes or I would have killed them a second of a while. Yeah, they do. They really do.
