A drone pilot who volunteers to monitor whale activity captured amazing footage of a humpback "heat hunt" recently, with a bunch of ardent males in pursuit of a female. Tyrone Peters said the males were "jostling to emerge as a likely mate" for the female. Peters, who volunteers with ORRCA, the Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans in Australia, told Storyful he was out "sighting and logging whales on their northern migration" when he spotted several fast-moving males "chasing a female".
