Von der Leyen announces €20 million aid package for flood-hit Bosnia
SARAJEVO, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA - OCT. 25,: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Friday, Oct. 25, announced a €20 million aid package for flood-affected regions in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) during her meeting with Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Kristo in Sarejevo.This follows her visit to Jablanica and other towns severely impacted by recent floods.Kristo expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, "Thank you sincerely, dear President, on behalf of all our citizens, particularly those in the hardest-hit areas." She also mentioned that BiH is working on securing additional support through the EU Solidarity Fund.The leaders discussed BiH's EU integration progress, including preparations for anintergovernmental conference and pending legislation essential for the EU path.
