Man Reels in Shark on Long Island's Jones Beach

A fisherman reeled in a small shark at Long Island's Jones Beach in Wantagh, New York, on September 5. Video filmed by Marcia Avila shows the catch. "My husband and I were walking along Jones Beach on Labor Day and came across this fisherman struggling with a catch. He said that usually he catches striped bass and blues. He caught the brown shark, which is endangered, removed the hook, and returned it to the water. We saw it swim back into the ocean," Avila told Storyful.
