Congresswoman Salazar says TAKE IT DOWN Act to return power from online aggressors to victims

Florida Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar of Florida says in debate on the Tools to Address Known Exploitation by Immobilizing Technological Deepfakes on Websites and Networks Act or TAKE IT DOWN Act that with the passage of the bill, power was taken away from aggressors and accomplices and given back to victims and their families, who previously found that schools, police, and big tech companies could not or would not help them, and emphasized that this legislation was championed by the First Lady and endorsed by President Trump himself during his recent State of the Union address as a vital step to defend sons and daughters against online predators, urging colleagues to vote yes on the bill to protect children. The bill later passed by a 402-2 vote.
