Former Senator Cohen endorses James Mattis at Defense Secretary Nomination Hearing
Former Maine Senator and Clinton administration Defense Secretary William Cohen describes retired Marine Corps General James Mattis as a Braveheart rather than nickname Mad Dog, that he need not consult Wikipedia on account of his library of books all of which he had read. Cohen says Mattis those what it means to go into battle and not go into members can all the armed services love them because of what he does for the country, calling him a humble man with very little to be humble about who visits with Gold Star families who had lost family members. Cohen concludes by quoting Civil War veteran and Supreme Court Associate Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes.
