The Cap Roux Marine Reserve, located on the French Riviera within the Estérel Nature Reserve, is renowned for its rich biodiversity. Its underwater environment, featuring drop-offs, caves and canyons, are home to a multitude of species. The striped red mullet lives mainly on sandy or muddy bottoms, from the surface down to 100 meters deep. It uses its barbels to dig up small prey hidden in the sand.
