CLEAN: France expels Afghan immigrants
France has expelled three illegal Afghan immigrants back to their home country. The three men are expected to arrive Wednesday afternoon, travelling on a flight jointly chartered by the French and British governments and which also carried Afghans expelled from Britain. It is not unusual for the UK to send Afghans back home, but for France the move is being seen as a shift away from a traditional reluctance to send immigrants back to a country where their lives may be in danger. The French immigration minister Eric Besson has said they are returning to an area where they are not at risk. Rossy-en-France, Val-d'Oise, France (Footage by AFPTV via Getty Images)
