French Skier Survives Dramatic Plunge Into Crevasse

A Frenchman captured the moment he fell into a crevasse while skiing in the Swiss Alps on video. Benjamin Spilthooren, an experienced skier, was descending the Strahlhorn mountain in the Pennine Alps when he fell into the glacial crevasse on Sunday, May 24. This video shows Benjamin's fall and his rescue thanks to another group of skiers who were descending the mountain and heard the Frenchman's cries for help.
