VAN, TÜRKİYE - JAN. 7, 2026 - KARS, TÜRKİYE - JAN. 8, 2026 : From an altitude of nearly 10,000 meters (33,000 feet), the rugged terrain of eastern Türkiye has been transformed into a seamless landscape of white, as captured in striking aerial footage that reveals the region's silent winter grandeur.In the eastern Agri province the bird’s-eye perspective offers a rare look at the country’s most formidable peaks. Mount Agri (Ararat in English), Türkiye’s highest point at 5,137 meters (16,854 feet), stands as a solitary sentinel draped in snow.To its south, the snow-cladded slopes of Mount Suphan, the nation’s third-highest peak, located west of Lake Van.The journey across the sky further reveals the Nemrut Crater Lake in Türkiye’s Bitlis province.Usually a vibrant blue, the caldera now appears as a dramatic, frozen panorama cradled within the mountain’s rim.In the northeastern province of Kars, the landscape softens into the rolling plains of the Selim district.
