Worlwide IT outage causes flight disruptions at Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany

BERLIN, GERMANY - JULY 19: A global communication outage caused by CrowdStrike, a leading cybersecurity service provider for Microsoft, has led to significant operational disruptions at major German airports on Friday (July 19).Due to the technical issues stemming from the CrowdStrike outage, flights have been temporarily suspended at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER) and Hamburg Airport. At present, no aircraft is arriving or departing from Berlin’s main international gateway.Berlin-Brandenburg Airport officials stated, "Due to a technical failure, there are delays in operations. Flight operations have been suspended."The disruptions extend beyond Berlin, as Hamburg Airport also experienced a suspension of flights following computer system issues affecting four airlines.
