Grafton Lakes State Park hosts 40th Annual Ice Fishing Competition
CROPSEYVILLE, NEW YORK, US - FEB. 15: Grafton Lakes State Park hosted the 40th Annual Ice Fishing Contest on Saturday, February 15, with hundreds of anglers competing out to compete in frigid conditions for a chance to catch some of the area's best fish.The competition took place on various ponds in the park, including Second Pond, Mill Pond, Dunham Reservoir, Shaver Pond and Long Pond. Anglers of all ages took part, with categories including rainbow and brown trout, walleye, zander and yellow perch.Despite the cold, spirits were high and the event was a great success, marking a significant milestone in the park's long-standing tradition of hosting the annual ice-fishing competition.(Footage by Lokman Vural Elibol/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
