PYONGYANG, NORTH KOREA - OCT. 30: A group of Japanese government officials headed home Thursday after wrapping up a four-day visit to North Korea aimed at scrutinizing the country's investigation into the fates of Japanese nationals it abducted decades ago. During talks with North Korea's special investigation committee on Tuesday and Wednesday, Junichi Ihara, director general of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau of the Foreign Ministry who headed the 12-member delegation, demanded that it speed up the probe into abduction victims and report the findings "as soon as possible." Ihara is set to report the results of the talks to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe upon returning to Japan via Beijing on Thursday evening.
