Studio- Hayes discusses the rainforest
MS Harold Hayes describes how because humans draw so much energy from the rainforest, it is receding and we are destroying it. SOT The world rainforest is an important source of oxygen; most of the genotypes on Earth are there and plants and animals and so on. And this is a world resource, even though it belongs to Brazil and African soil; all of us draw from it. That's receding, and this again is a consequence that we have to face as a species, that we're destroying the most life-supporting system that we have.
