Historical Elevator is a historical building in Izmir.It is an elevator tower that houses two elevators operating between Mithatpaşa Street, which is 58 m higher than the other, and Şehit Nihatbey Street. Built in 1907 by the Jewish businessman "Nesim Levi (Bayraklıoğlu)", the elevator was built to provide fast and easy transportation between two districts, from one to the other with 155 steps. Today, it is used as entertainment, culture and resting place by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality; is an important tourist stop of the city
