You are one of the structural pillars upon which this great industry has been built. We're all very very proud of you"; she turns to director Cecil B DeMille and says to him "Don't you agree with me, Mr. DeMille?", DeMille steps over to Laemmle and says, "Mr. Laemmle, Miss Pickford and Mr. Hays have so splendidly expressed the feelings of my colleagues and myself that I'm going to let a man talk who can, Mr. Will Rogers"; humorist Will Rogers steps up to Laemmle, SOT: "Mr. Laemmle, I was brought here to represent the male end of the moving picture business, see, but after getting here I've changed my act around, I ain't gonna do that at all, I'm gonna represent the public or the audience that pays to go in, they're never represented at anything like this, so I represent them and we too, we love you too, Uncle Carl" / Note: exact day not known
