Congressman Meeks remarks to press after classified briefing on Caribbean drug boat strikes

House Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Gregory Meeks of New York tells reporters after a classified briefing on counternarcotics operations in US Southern Command that if in fact this was a war against drugs anti narcotics he thought that no real rational decision or real answers about whether or not what they were about to end into was a war on Venezuela and thereby coming to Congress this war powers issue, which was why he had a bill coming up hopefully this week on the floor talking about war powers and talking about the strikes that took place in the Pacific and the Caribbean, and they all heard what Susie Wiles said today that this was really about that the President was going to continue this until such time there was a regime change in Venezuela.
