Congressman Jeffries calls state gerrymandering initiative effort to cheat to victory as House Republican majority in jeopardy
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York says answering a reporter question at his first regular semiweekly news conference since a 43 day government shutdown ended that Democrats refused to let President Trump and Republicans gerrymander congressional maps across the country, and Trump launched this unprecedented effort because his claimed mandate was nowhere to be found on election day as he was destroyed in Virginia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Mississippi, and California, so Trump was in full panic mode knowing the House majority was gone and was trying to cheat his way to an artificial victory.
