In a studio, Dr. William Marston, known as the "father of the polygraph", demonstrates a blood pressure monitoring device, aka a Sphygmomanometer, whereby he claims can determine comparative emotions of blonde, brunette, and redhead women. Marston explains his theory, U.S.A., 1931. Dr. William Marston was a Harvard psychologist perhaps better known for creating the comic-book character Wonder Woman under the nom de plume "Charles Moulton." Marston believed that verbal deception could be detected by changes in the systolic blood pressure. He used a standard a blood pressure cuff to take measurements of systolic blood pressure during interrogation.
