Avery Brundage comments on Munich Olympics after the Munich Massacre
INT MCU International Olympic Committee President Avery Brundage comments on the status of the Munich Olympics after the Munich Massacre and political protests took place. He states, "Well, ironically lets say and sadly the more important the Olympic movement becomes the more open it is to commercial, political, and criminal intrusion." The so called Munich Massacre occurred during the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Bavaria in West Germany, when members of the Israeli Olympic team were taken hostage and killed by the Palestinian terrorist group named Black September.
