TEHRAN, IRAN - MAY 19: (MUST CREDIT IRANIAN SUPREME LEADER'S PRESS OFFICE – FOR EDITORIAL USE) Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Sunday, May 19, urged prayers for the return of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and others on board the helicopter, which made a hard landing.Imam Khamenei expressed his concerns for the incident this afternoon for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his delegation. The Leader stated, “We hope that the Almighty God will return the respected and esteemed President and his entourage to the arms of the nation. Eveyone should pray for the health of these people who are serving the Iranian nation. The nation doesn't need to be worried or anxious as the administration of the country will not be disrupted at all.”The helicopter carrying Iranian President Raisi reportedly made a hard landing due to weather conditions while returning from a dam inauguration ceremony on the Azerbaijan border.Raisi was accompanied by Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Malik Rehmati and Friday prayer leader in the city of Tabriz Ayatollah Al-Hashem at the time of the accident.The Iranian Red Crescent previously announced that the "crash" occurred between Kaleybar and Varzaqan. Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi emphasized that rescue teams had not yet reached the area.East Azerbaijan Deputy Governor Jabbarali Zakiri stated that two of the three helicopters in Raisi's convoy had landed, while one had crashed.It was reported that the helicopter carrying Raisi included several officials, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
