CLEAN: Film festival keeps W. Sahara refugees dreaming
It's a far cry from Cannes, but for refugees in the Algerian desert, a film festival beneath the stars is a glamorous change from the monotony of camp life. The Saharan Festival of World Cinema began six years ago as a joint venture between Spanish filmmakers and the Polisario Front, the movement seeking independence for their native Western Sahara.
