The new high speed Jerusalem-Tel Aviv railway

Jerusalem, Israel. 25th September, 2018. Seventeen years after the project to construct the rail line was launched, the first passengers traveled on the route from the new Yitzhak Navon Station, which runs from Jerusalem to Ben Gurion airport in only 21 minutes. The ride will replace the old, longer and slower Ottoman rail route through the Judean Hills and is the the first heavy rail line in Israel electrified.
