- Andy McDonald produced green paper we've got for new deal fr working people - thanked Andy - taken big decisions at conference and changed party to face the country - pleased

- Andy's got his own reasons - I thanked him - bigger issue is that on Sunday we took tough decisions as a party - lots of people said are you sure Keir? Is it the right time? It is always the right time to change your party to face the country - shut the door on anti-semitism and changed our party to face country and set out alternative case for government - very pleased with change we made this week
Q: Clearly a substantial minority who wish they had the old leadership - message to them?
- Always have different views in the Labour Party, that's the nature of the beast - most important thing is have we achieved what I set out to achieve which is to reposition party to face country and put forward alternative programme for government - put out strong housing policy, employment policy, heard from Rachel Reeves on economy - strong ideas on business rates, fiscal rules and how we invest in jobs of future
Q: Not inspiring people in the same way -two years ago people here singing Corbyn's name - no Keir Starmer scarves - not inspiring in same way?
- Two years ago we had our conference here and months later lost a General Election in worst way since 1935 - not going to allow that to happen again - if that means change in party - and it does - then we will make change and we have made that change this week
Q: Would you like more enthusiasm from grass roots?
- I'd like to see a Labour government - focused on millions of working families who desperately need a Labour government - that is single mission I have in everything I do - what we can't have after 4 election results t...
