Music: Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo interview; Part 3 of 4THE NETHERLANDS: Amsterdam: INTLars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo (Metallica band members) interview SOTQ: ON BUYING VINYL PRESSING PLANTLars Ulrich (Metallica drummer) responding SOT- We have a great team that have been over the last five years looking at opportunities for us to make a difference in the music community / where can Metallica help our friends, our peers out, what can we do that also gives us a little bit more an easier time with the practicalities that exist around us / the way vinyl has come back basically from extinction in the last ten, fifteen years caught everybody off guard, but our fans are very passionate and a lot of collectors; we've found when we do vinyl and special editions and so on it just gets snapped up / having an opportunity to get in and use the presses and do the numbers we need and then help the other folks in the community seemed a no brainer / the team at Furnace are incredible, we have them all in place and we're so excited about this partnership and what we can do to keep the vinyl momentum on its feet and into bigger places the next few yearsQ: ON WHETHER THEY REMEMBER THE MOVE FROM AUTOGRAPHS TO SELFIESLars Ulrich (Metallica drummer) responding SOT- There's always been passionate fans, a transparency that Metallica has welcomed; whether it's at the backstage door, the hotels, wherever we go, where we feel we want to be accessible and be at the same level, that's been part of the Metallica culture for forty plus years / there's always been a lot of cameras around, whether they were separated from the phone or in the phone I'm not quite sure; our friends in Finland up at Nokia had something to do with and then subsequently Apple and the rest of the gang a few year later; 15/20 years ago it started going in that direction / to me it's all part of connecting with the fans in any way shape or form possible, whether through autographs, selfies, co...
