Small coffee producer Indonesian's Bogor sells 500 kilos in a day

BOGOR, INDONESIA - SEPTEMBER 17: A Local coffee brand in Bogor, Indonesia sells about 500 kilograms of coffee daily. Founded in 1960, Kopi Agus Cap Teko was previously a grocery store that also sold coffee. Since it was favored by customers, the shop decided to only focus on producing and selling coffee. “We have been established since 1960. At that time we were still selling grocery items. But along the way, we had better coffee sales. Finally we become coffee specialists,.” Agus Suharja, the second generation of Agus Coffee producer, said to Anadolu Agency. Agus says, “from selling only half a kilo a day, now we sell hundreds of kilos a day. About 400 to 500 kilos.” A consumer said that the price and taste of Kopi Agus matched the tastes of Indonesians. “First, the price is affordable. Both of them taste right for Indonesians. The taste is bitter, the smell and the aroma is just right,” said Jemmy Stefanus, a loyal customer from the capital Jakarta, 60 km from Bogor City. Agus added: “There used to be a lot of coffee producers in the area. There are five other shops that also sell coffee. Only we survive.” (Footage by Surya Fachrizal Aprianus /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
