COVID-19 Restrictions Ease In Sydney Local Government Areas Of Concern
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - SEPTEMBER 20: Lucas Gittany trains his one year old Blue and Gold Macaw named Thor in Parramatta on September 20, 2021 in Sydney, Australia. Today was the first day that Lucas, who breeds and trains birds, could show his Grandfather Fahd Gittany, Thor’s progress - the bird now flying around their local park and returning on command. Lockdown has meant ‘more time doing what I love’ says Lucas of his extra time with his birds. Lucas hopes to one day become a vet. COVID-19 restrictions have eased for people who live in Local Government Areas of concern across Sydney from today. Residents in those LGAs no longer have a time limit on outdoor exercise or recreation, and outdoor gatherings of up to five fully vaccinated people are now permitted. Shopping, exercise and recreation are now allowed within 5km of home, or within a person's LGA. (Footage by Brook Mitchell/Getty Images)
