LUXOR, EGYPT - JULY 26: Luxor Governorate organized a Mango Festival on International Mango Day, July 22, with the slogan “Let’s work together to put Luxor on the agricultural scene of Egypt”.The festival was organized with the participation of many institutions and organizations at the Public Library of Egypt next to the Avenue of Sphinxes, which lies between Luxor Temples and Karnak.The “Plant Mango” initiative, which will start with the planting of 300 acres of the targeted 1000 acres in 5 years, aims to put Luxor Governorate among the others on the agricultural map of Egypt, along with the city’s important place on the historical scene. Luxor city is known to be home to numerous ancient monuments of Egypt.A market where 13 varieties of mangoes grown in the governorate are sold at discounted prices, a workshop with 120 women participants teaching women how to properly dry mangoes, a drawing workshop for children, a photography exhibition, an exhibition of paintings on mango fruits, and woodworking workshops are among the festival’s activities.(Footage by Ahmed Sayed /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
