A mating pair of houseflies (Musca domestica) is being observed on a weed branch in a forest in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on May 7, 2025. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), houseflies can transmit at least 65 diseases to humans, including Cholera, Conjunctivitis, Dysentery, Gastroenteritis, Salmonellosis, Shigellosis, Tuberculosis, and Typhoid fever.
