Meteorological Service of Canada issued Severe Thunderstorm Watch as public weath3r alert for New Brunswick on August 10. This severe storm brought lightning strikes and ping pong ball-sized hail. Utilities say lightning caused the outages. Power remained out for as many as 8,000 customers in Fredericton into Saturday evening.
