Congressman James introduces IDEAL Act to expand on Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
Michigan Congressman John James says in House floor remarks that IDEA has been the backbone of special education for 50 years and introduced the IDEAL Act to fully fund the program, noting that 50 years ago only one in five children with disabilities had access to public education while today nearly 8 million students are protected by IDEA.
