Muhammad Ali on the Fight of the Century during promotional tour, UK; 1971
Muhammad Ali at a press conference when he was visiting Birmingham in October 1971 during a promotional tour for Ovaltine, his appearance drew huge crowds, this interview is later in the year after the 'Fight of the Century' between him and Joe Frazier, Ali responds to a comment from a News Reporter at the press conference (not heard), telling Ali that he was at the Frazier fight and thought Ali was whipped by Frazier, Ali responds, "Well, then you don't know nothing about boxing, you saw how pretty my face was, after the fight, and did you see how bloody and cut-up and bruised and puffed he was? Did you see me hitting him nine times, five times to every one time he hit me? Did you see me playing with him and him pulling his best punches and couldn't as much as hurt my body...and he whooped me? Well if the loser has to go to hospital, if the winner has to go to the hospital, then I wanna be a loser..." Birmingham, UK; 1971 (BBC News - Midlands Today - ANB7730L - AEXZ288W)
