DeForest Kelley: Never. I thought, I thought gee, I'd just be lucky if I just get a year, you know. That was a year of steady money. That's the way I think that most of us looked at it, you know. We thought, gee, we're damn lucky to get three out of it. But never thought that we would be sitting here. Interviewer: And what about when they approached you the first time and said we want to do Star Trek the movie, are you keen? DeForest Kelley: Well, they wanted to do a 90-minute show for NBC first. And if that was successful, that pilot, we were going to do like five or six shows during the year, which we were all very excited about. Thought that was a terrific way to go. And then they called up and said they decided to cancel that. We're going to a movie. It was an emotional thing. And then when we all got together again, it was like we'd gone into warp time.
