New Mexico Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez says opposing the Mining Regulatory Clarity Act, which would locate hardrock mining mill sites and establish the Abandoned Hardrock Mine Fund, that why should let the Chinese Communist Party take advantage of gold and copper on their Federal lands and why Republicans were afraid to limit China's access to America's critical minerals, and if they were not going to make international mining companies pay for precious minerals they took from them the least they could do was to stop foreign adversaries like China from dumping mine waste on their public lands, and they should not treat their public lands like a big trash pile available to international mining corporations.
