New York Congressman Pat Ryan says in October 2024 then candidate Donald Trump said you are not going to have a war with me and in his victory speech on election night he said he is not going to start a war but going to stop wars, asking how they could consider that anything but just a straight up betrayal of promises made and a lack of any strategic coherence, arguing he frankly thinks and does not use this word lightly that Colby is lying to the American people about it along with the Vice President and the President, noting to bring it into stark relief these six brave patriots that they lost and they at least owe them and their tremendous sacrifice being honest, saying Colby came in here and made going out of his way to say he is a loyal lieutenant to the President and Ryan knows Colby is exhausted because he does not think Colby actually agrees with a lot of what the President is doing, with Colby fully rejecting the characterization and saying this administration is going to be prepared for peace through strength at a House Armed Services Committee hearing.
