New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez tells Teva Pharmaceutical CEO Kare Schultz in continued questioning at a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing with pharmaceutical executives about drug pricing that an explanation and documents for price discrepancies between the United States and other nations should being forced to charge lower prices abroad but strategy plans of the company noted downward price pressures in Europe, asking Schultz whether he knew Teva was actually pressured to lower the price of Copaxone in Europe, Schultz answering he had no knowledge of that 10 years before having joined, Ocasio Cortez adding thankfully it was known in the answer was Teva was forced to lower prices in Europe while raising the price on US multiple sclerosis patients by 60% over the same two year period.
