A newly spotted asteroid burned up harmlessly, as https://x.com/catalina_sky/status/1831241010879582295 NASA predicted , in the Earth's atmosphere over the Philippines on September 4. The asteroid would "create a fireball off the east coast of the northern Philippines," NASA said. An observer with the Catalina Sky Survey in Arizona https://x.com/catalina_sky/status/1831241010879582295 discovered the asteroid eight hours out from impact. It was dubbed CAQTDL2.
