County Championship Cricket - Somerset v Surrey
A newspaper placard outside the County Ground in Taunton referring to Surrey batsman Jack Hobbs who would resume his innings on 91, needing another 9 runs to equal the record of 126 first class centuries held by the legendary Dr WG Grace, in the County Championship cricket match between Somerset and Surrey, 17th August 1925. The sequence continues with Hobbs and his batting partner Andrew Sandham walking onto the field at the start of play. Hobbs succeeded in equalling the record, and the following day he scored another century to set a new mark.
