Congressman Murphy says UnitedHealthcare triggered fraudulent Medicare payments by adding diagnoses for conditions never treated to be covered by taxpayers

North Carolina Congressman Greg Murphy says in House floor remarks that United is under DOJ investigation for alleged Medicare Advantage billing and coding fraud after adding diagnoses to patient records for conditions no doctor treated in order to trigger an extra eight point seven billion dollars in payments in 2021, and he said taxpayers paid Medicare Advantage organizations fifty billion dollars that year for diseases diagnosed but not treated, like being diagnosed with being left handed for no reason to treat it yet charged to the government anyway.
