Preliminary investigation into Maradona's alleged death by negligence completed
BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA - FEB. 26: On Wednesday, February 26, the preliminary investigation into Maradona's death was completed at the San Isidro Courthouse in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The trial began with allegations that Maradona died as a result of negligence on the part of the nurse who cared for him in his final days.
The trial is expected to resume in March.
Recognized as one of the greatest football players of all time, Maradona died of a heart attack at his home near Buenos Aires on November 25, 2020, at the age of 60.
