Parents of students at a middle school in Nicholasville, Kentucky, rushed to collect their children after police responded to an "emergency" at the institution when a vape was mistaken for a gun on Monday, April 28. Nicholasville Police Department posted a https://www.facebook.com/NicholasvillePD/posts/1107443331417913 statement on Facebook at 1 pm which said it was responding to "an emergency at East Jessamine Middle School" and no injuries were reported at the time. "Parents wishing to retrieve students should report to John Preece Drive. We do not have a timeline for when anyone can enter or exit the property as Officers are actively securing the campus."
