Congressman Deluzio says Trump and Republicans want to gut and privatize the VA as internal documents show

Pennsylvania Congressman Chris Deluzio says at a news conference on job cuts at the Department of Veterans Affairs that time and again the Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress had shown they wanted to gut and privatize the VA as they would sell off veterans healthcare to the highest bidder cost or quality be damned, and now internal documents came out that showed the Trump Administration VA was working to slash thousands, tens of thousands of healthcare jobs at the VA around 35,000 across the country, and no region was spared with cuts across the board including clinical healthcare roles like doctors and nurses, and all this while more than a million new veterans enrolled in the VA thanks to the PACT Act signed by then President Biden which by the way 88 House Republicans and 11 Senate Republicans voted against, and Secretary Doug Collins said repeatedly on camera that he would not cut veterans healthcare so he had some explaining to do.
