Pet Tarantula's Molting Process Captured in Mesmerizing Timelapse
A pet Mexican red-knee tarantula shed its skin in Reno, Nevada, in an oddly transfixing process captured on camera by its owner. Jason Bauer recorded this timelapse of his pet spider's molting, which he said "took three hours in real time." Tarantulas will molt a handful of times until they are fully grown, according to https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/mexican-red-knee-tarantula-molting-exoskeleton-video National Geographic . Bauer https://www.instagram.com/p/CRuVtFpAXE5/ shared the video to his Instagram on July 25. (Footage by Jason Bauer/Storyful via Getty Images UGC)
