INTERVIEW - Pete Worden discusses the technology that Breakthrough Starshot are working on in order to search for intelligent life. The militarization of technology has made this possible and also the ability to send out cheap and miniature ships enables them to send out hundreds and the ability to sacrifice a few in the search for objects in space. Talks about Breakthrough Listen as another project (along with Breakthrough Starshot) that is on the search for life beyond earth and the project was launched last July (2015) in order to search for signals from other life.
