I think Post Office failed. Sorry. I think for the delay, I think really we lost a year to start with. The failure of Post Office to come through with the disclosure really was a major set back. We could have been so much further on at this point if people had sat on top of them and driven it forward at that time, nowadays it's very hard to put your finger on one particular person, but I think the bureaucracy certainly is slowing it down. I think you know that within the civil service. I think they could do a lot more to speed it up than they have been doing.Reporter Question Daniel Hewitt (Investigations Editor, ITV News) SOTThere are some that think that the delays are conscious that they are way of delaying paying people so that maybe they give up or fed up. But in some cases, you know, some people have passed away. What do you think?A: Sir Alan Bates Interview SOTWell, since this all began, even in our GLO group, the 555, I think over 70 have passed away. So I mean, we are losing numbers or but I mean, there's a lot of people who are determined to see it through to the end. And yes, there are, you're right. There are some people who have given up. It's been too much for them. And I can understand that, when you spent so many years fighting this battle and seemed to be banging your head against a brick wall for so long. It's, it's too easy just to accept it and I do worry also that some people are accepting claims which, you know, for lower amounts than perhaps they're entitled to if they hung on a bit longer.
