Powerful Typhoon Faxai (local name Typhoon No.15) made landfall in the Kanto region including the Tokyo greater area early morning on September 9th with heavy rain and winds of up 210 km/h (130mph). Non-mandatory Evacuation Order was issued over 390,000 people in the greater Tokyo area. According to Tokyo Electric Power company, about 290,000 customers lost power.
