Irish president pardons two men of murder 140 years on from their executions
President Michael D Higgins signs posthumous Presidential pardons for Mr Sylvester Poff and Mr James Barrett at Aras an Uachtarain, Dublin. The men were executed in Tralee Gaol in 1883. The granting of the pardon follows a recommendation made by Government earlier this year.
