POLITICS / ABU DHABI: Prime Minister David Cameron visits Zayed University; re EU EURO ZONE CRISIS: - All European economies whether part of single currency or not .... all of us are effected - 50% of our trade goes to EU, 40% goes to Euro Zone countries - Does it advantage UK having it's own currency? Yes I think it does - We've seen our own currency depreciate - My govt spends time trying to link up with fastest growing countries in the world - This was the first country I visited as PM - We're also members of the single market- Problems in the Euro Zone are going to take time to resolve - Every country that trades with Europe is going to know what effect - 17 countries into 1 single currency does create pressures - A struggle going on at heart of Euro Zone- UK is better off outside it, but we will still be affected re BIGGEST CHALLENGE FACED AS PM: - Greatest responsibility I feel is for our armed forces serving in Afghanistan- 9K mostly British men, some women in very difficult country and conditions - What we're doing there is right - That country, when broken, Taliban took after and became haven from trying of terrorist - The whole world as suffered from that re STUDENTS FACING STEREOTYPES:- Nest thing is more exchanges between universities - If we are going to succeed as countries we need to take the best of everyone - Opening up universities than you can challenge stereotypes yourself [makes comment about Olympic badge]
