This clip (one clip, 30 seconds long) demonstrates an aspect of red deer stag behaviour in the rutting season, which comes around in October each year (in southern England). Stags have a curious habit of tossing bracken into the air, which can often result in a stag carrying on their antlers many fern fronds that look like a long-haired wig.
