Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Federal Courts, Oversight, Agency Action and Federal Rights Chairman Ted Cruz says opening a hearing on District of Columbia District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg and Maryland District Court Judge Deborah Boardman that Judge Deborah Boardman imposed a sentence 22 years below the guidelines on Nicholas Roske for attempting to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and that by reducing the sentence to eight years based in part on Roske's transgender identity she committed a gross dereliction of judicial duty warranting impeachment.
